Hi Mate,
Question 1 I can't answer
Q2. I doubt that you will see firmware updates for the 2000 since the 2000 nexus is out
Q3. Their a pretty solid machine. No real flaws in them.
Hope this helps. Oh and congrats on ur purchase.
Hey all, I just traded in my CDJ900's for a pair of CDJ2000's. Since Pioneer had discontinued them I got an amazing deal that I couldn't pass up.
I have a couple of questions/ concernes,
1 did Pioneer FINALLY fix the issue with the Jog wheel spring? both players were manufactured in June 2012.
I only had them for 2 days and used them for an hour, so far only small thing I noticed was the master tempo seems to have an effect in sound quality when slowing down (-pitch) on a track.

Q1 - I wasn't aware there was an issue with the jog wheel spring.
Q2 - Yes, the CDJ-2000 is still supported.
Q3 - Its electronic equipment that is used in a whole range of, oftentimes, hostile environments. A little bit of care and they should be just fine.
Good luck with your purchase!
