@Jane > Yes, you need to connect the CDJs to a WiFi router to enable rekordbox mobile.
As for your setup with Traktor, you've got 1x CDJ2000 and 1x CDJ2000nexus - right?
Can you tell us about how you connect everything up to Traktor, step by step?
Hi - I just got a 2000 Nexus and using it with my 2000 MK1. Loving the Nexus so far and have updated all the firmwares etc.
One thing I immediately was a bit confused about was - I thought the Nexus units had wifi like the Aero - but can't seem to find a way to get my iphone to talk with it. Do they need a wifi router connected to be able to do this ? Not a biggie as got the enclosed USB working with the iphone, MK1 and Nexus ok.
My other question was for how the advanced HID works with Traktor. I'm planning to keep using Traktor for an Alt night I do just as it's about 80% - 90% requests and it's just easy to jump on the keyboard and key in the song I'm searching for.
With my PC laptop it's all working fine with both units connected, however there is one problem I'm having with the MK1. When I'm using the push selector to choose my track and load it, the track in the other unit stops dead, and if I push the same selector knob on the MK1 it cues the track in the Nexus's channel while I hold down??? So makes it impossible to use the push select with my MK1.
I can drag tracks across using my laptops trackpad into the MK1's channel deck fine and this doesn't stop the other deck's track, but it's a bit fiddly and would much prefer to use the selector knob.
The Nexus doesn't have this problem ad doesn't cut the other decks' track.
I know this maybe should be asked on a Traktor forum, but just wondered if anyone had a similar prob and if there's an easy settings solution I'm missing?
But yeh - Nexus are incredible and I'll hopefully get another at some point. But loving finally having two 2000 decks and this gives me great options for a variety of DJ scenarios (USB for planned sets and laptop HID for more random things).
