I've been using XDJ-1000's since May after I got fed up with hardware and software companies constantly updating their systems and made using a laptop too unreliable. I've noticed a few aspects of the interface that really need to be changed but would benefit many users in searching for tracks and enhancing their performance with these controllers.

DDJ-SX2 and similar devices.
The ability to listen on CUE by headphone to the microphone when CUE is activated. CUE works fine when a PC or line input is selected but unfortunately not on MIC. That is very useful, especially when using two identical microphones to know by listening on the headphone who wants to talk before the fader is open. Especially when the DJ or operator is not able to see the persons from after his SX2. As far as I know is the hardware fine and it's only a matter of a firmware update.
@Yves > That has to do with how the audio routing is configured and how the CUE button has been implemented; it's a talk-over control instead of a headphone cue button when the channel is in MIC mode.
Ok, thx I didn't knew. Good to know! Is there a way to hear the CUE on the headphone when the faders are closed? If not, can it be added as a new feature? E.g. press [SHIFT] - [CUE] together for a long time (e.g. 2sec) to put the MIC on or off the headphone. Long time: to make the difference with the tap functionality.
Unfortunately not, there's no way to preview the mics pre-fader due to the audio routing.
Hi Pulse,
A few things I'd like to see changed on the XDJ-1000 is that you can press and hold the delete button to clear the search feld in the browse menu.
The extend and shorten loop buttons immediately resets the loop which basically completely ruining the flow of the music.
An alternative to the small loop sizes would be maybe 4 larger loop buttons that display the loop size but adding another 'Loop size' button that can be adjusted in length when pressing can resize the 4 loop buttons as you turn the 'rotary selector' knob. I'd even go as far to suggest that Pioneer should look to use the 'rotary selector' know for many functions in the Performance menu.
More Hot cues should be added too. 3 is certainly a limitation for modern djing and we can only guess the reason behind just 3 on the XDJ-1000 is not to offer more hot cues than what is available on the CDJ-900 and CDJ-2000 models.
Overall the XDJ-1000 has been wonderful to work with over the wedding season and it's been a great joy to leave the MacBook in my bag and not use a computer all season.
