Digital or Analog connection?

I am wondering what is the recommended set-up to connect cdj-2000 nxs to djm-900 nxs, through analog or digital cables. Also, how the quality of the DAC compares between the djm-900nxs and the cdj-2000 nxs?

My understanding is better to connect directly through digital as bypass the A/D and D/A when doing it as analog. Also understand the djm-900 nxs DACs is the same as the djm-2000 nxs which is supposed to be top.

Have been watching several djs and even the official pioneer videos and some times the set up is digital and others analog, so not sure what the "best" (if can be called so) is.

Using all-digital connections will provide the best quality of sound without loss of signal or introduction of noise through outside interference, but even for trained ears it can be difficult to detect on such short runs between the CDJ and the mixer.

I don't have specifications available on the DACs used in the products, but they're all very good quality and would have next to no audible difference in output.

The reason the videos differ depends on who's setting it up - sometimes it's done by an outside marketing company and they don't always know the best configuration, even if a Pioneer staff member is on hand during the filming.

Agree with Pulse. I use digital so I can have less cables :)
