What the next version needs to have is a 4 channel mixer,
and full size jogs.
My thinking is that we will see this version at years end.
XDJRZ is probably going to be the name?
Hi guys!
I've been a happy owner of the Pioneer DDJ-SX for a few years now, but don't like the idea of laptop. I have a fast PC (Intel i7, 12GB RAM) where I use Traktor but once a while the performance of that combo, due to Windows issues is not great and is not realiable.
I really like Pioneer XDJ-RX and see users are quite happy with it's reliability. Before DDJ-SX I had XDJ-Aero but wasn't satisifed. It crashed several times when playing in clubs and at that time Rekordbox was not supporting Playlists, so it was not the product I could trust.
Since XDJ-RX is much, much better than little brother Aero, it will be my next buy, however I would wish it to be a little bit improved and I will probably wait for the next version. I hope it will be released at the end 2016 or beggining of 2017.
What are your thougths of the next version?
So far I gathered some points:
- touch screen (NXS2) with QWERTY keyboard for quicker search
- DDJ-RZ/CDJ2000NX2 jogwheels
- it should have BEAT FX like DJM900NXS2
- it should have COLOUR FX like DJM900NXS2
- it should have an option of 3/4 for BEAT FX, which with SPIRAL, is greatly missing
- improve the sound of some effects like SPIRAL. It is far from the DJM900
- perhaps WiFi option to be able to analyse tracks in Rekordbox on iPhone and upload to XDJ?

The only thing missing is a 4 channel mixer. XDJ-RX is designed to be standalone. Any other features can be accommodated by bidirectional MIDI mode and running rekordbox DJ on a laptop.
The XDJ-RX is exactly what I wanted, it is standalone DJing done right.
Yeah
its just like an old school t1200's set up
feels like home for me.
Awesome to have all the technology along with it though.
