Just start off with that I got a Laptop from my wife in christmas to use for Rekordbox DJ. Its not a powerful one but has 2.4 Ghz (Intel Dual) and 4gb ram.
I use DDJ-RX with the laptop and Rekordbox DJ, and it works.. to a point where the more effects I use, the more the program is ready to drop and close itself.
I know the laptop is just with a inch ahead from the border of Rekordbox requirements.
So My question is: What is the RECOMMENDED Requirements of Rekordbox? Right now you have only posted the Minimum requirements.
It would be good information to have so I know how much money I need to spend :)

I think it would work. I use a Surface Pro 3 (i5) with 4gb Ram and it works like a charm. You can always test it with the Trial version. The powerpeak meter isn't even touching half so I think you're good :)
Also what helps is to use that laptop for DJ-ing only. Don't install games and connect it to the internet as less as possible.
Aye, the program work, but when I started to use the effects on my DDJ-RX, then Rekordbox started to drop sound.
The Dropout meter was always around half when it was in default mode and had som peaks during the sets, espoecially when using the DDJ-RX effects.. to much information to process I guess (?).
Anyway, got myself a new one, i7 with 8gb ram. So the dropout box is like 1/5 :)
