ddj sx2 can not hear effects in headphones

hi i wonder can i hear effects in headphones before i play it on master channel? when i am doing cue and effect i can not hear it in headphones but when put it on master hear it no problem.. Problem is big because i dont know how effect will sound before i put it on master. Can enybothy help me?
