Tutorials (sound color FX, beat FX, loop slicing)

Are there tutorial lessons available, which show how exactly one can use the sound color FX, beat FX and advanced things like loop slicing not in principle but in a meaningful way, in real situations?

e.g. I don't need another tutorial where an "expert" shows how to turn the Crusher on and does nothing useful with it, that's ridicules, but it would be nice to know when to use these effects so that the mix sounds better, that it makes sense to enhance a live-mix-performance.
