I've download the latest firmware but can't figure out how to install it.
I hold down shift-sync on the left deck, and turn on my SR and let go when the level meters start flashing. And then the meters just continue to flash forever. Does it matter if Serato DJ s open or not? I've tried both ways and neither worked.
I have the file DDJ-SR_V107.jar sitting in my downloads folder. Does the file need to be somewhere specific?
I can't think of anything else to try and I'm sick of my SR freezing up with the old firmware.
How do I get my SR to go into firmware update mode??

So I installed the latest Java and, it is enabled.
How do I "run" the JAR file? All it says is "Your DDJ-SR is not connected" when I click on it, which it should unless I put it in update mode right? So I do that, the level meters are flashing but nothing happens. They just continue to blink for a long as leave it.
All it says on your PDF guide is "When the update file for DDJ-SR (DDJ-SR_Vxxx.jar) is activated, the following dialogue is displayed. Click the [Start] button."
Well this JAR file never gets activated. Like I said the levels flash and nothing else happens. So what am I not doing??
You run it by double-clicking, which it sounds like you've done; the message you see onscreen is the update JAVA program running, but not detecting the SR.
Are you on Mac or PC?
I tried it again today and it finally recognized the SR. I don't know what I did different, if anything. Oh well, glad it worked. Thanks for the help.
Good to hear - thanks for reporting back.
I have the same issue!
