XDJ-RX with or without Rekordbox
Hello. I've always been using the XDJ-RX with an USB stick that I've prepared with Rekordbox in export mode. My playlists are well organized and I'm quite happy with it.
But I was wondering, WHAT would be an added value to use the XDJ-RX as a controller connected to a laptop running Rekordbox? Except that you have a bigger screen and ease of use for searching (which is not a problem for me right now). Are there other goodies to that?

In EXPORT mode, you have the ability to search and sort your songs quicker and easier, as well as adding a preview option.
In PERFORMANCE mode there are TONS of additional options, but many of those you would need to use an additional MIDI controller, or use the keyboard/mouse to have control over those functions.

I am still thinking about the same - not sure if to go for it or not. Not sure what additional value I would get to my setup and if there is something what worth loosing my "no laptop" freedom.
Haven't even started my trial as I am waiting for the 2nd deck anyway.. :-)
