Platter not working correctly in vinyl mode on DDJ SX

Hi,

I have had my DDJ SX now for sometime now, warranty is now passed, the left platter has now stopped working properly in vinyl mode, it either adjusts the track slowly if the deck is stopped, or pitch bends when the deck is playing. After some research over the forums I have checked to see if it's a ground fault, tried the controller in another room, adjusted the touch sensor level knob, I have replaced the usb cable for a Oyaide Neo cable, I have stuck the controller into hardware mode and adjusted the MIDI message timing, I have uninstalled the software then reinstalled and still no luck, I even formatted my laptop and installed again and again no luck, I think I have tried everything that I have seen mentioned to try. Help with this matter would be welcomed with open arms!!!

Oh the firmware for the controller is up to date and I have the latest version of the software on my laptop.

Cheers

Dan

first of all, You can ask an Pioneer DJ Support via Phone to get your UNIT Repaird, but you Need to tell him the "Long" Story of the unit and also that the warranty is passed.

I have Calld the Pioneer DJ Hotline years ago to Fix my wrong working DDJ T1.
They did that very fast but with warranty left.
They Told me on the Phone that "if they see any damages that could be from my self to the Unit they would Send me an Offer for Repair Coast n stuff.

I Would not Open the unit by my self to fix that.
If its helpfull see the exploding diagram of the Unit.

I bought a DDJ SX and it developed the same issue. I found a cure for mine, you hold a finger and thumb at 12 and 6 oclock firmly on the top of the platter and move it back and forth a few times as if performing a really smooth baby scratch. Worked instantly for me and its never done it since. I know this is 3 years later but maybe this will help someone else who buys one 2nd hand.
