Need a workflow to merge rb analyzed tracks from other machines to the main db/machine?

Hy,

i have one big Problem with rb:

since i analyze my tracks on different machines - at the work/Office for example or on another Laptop while traveling etc.during the week. Now i need a proper workflow to transfer these analyzed files to my main dj Laptop/rekordbox library (via network for example) when i'm at home or vpn.

i'm using this workflow for years/decades now with serato and Traktor.

now i'm considering switching to rb Performance and have the big Problem that rb doesn't store beatgrids/cues/etc in the files metadata?! just copying the file to the main dj machine and putting it there in the library seems not to work - i have to do the whole work again on the dj Maschine?!

- in serato the whole metadata even the graphical waveform is stored in the file itself

- in Traktor the grids/cues/etc are stored in the file itself only the graphical waveform is stored in the db (that is no Problem so build them up on the main machine).

how to do this in rb?

big big thx in advance for your help, i really Need a valid workflow how to merge files into the main library from external sources.

@Daniel > Currently, this is not possible in rekordbox, as the analysis, grid, and cue information are not stored in the metadata.  They are stored in the database file.

Your best alternative currently is to store your entire music library and the rekordbox database file on an external hard drive.  This way you can prepare tracks on ANY computer, anywhere.
