DJM 900NXS2 audio drop out

Hi, I am still experiencing audio drop outs even after the latest firmware update to the mixer.

My set up is 2 x CDJ 2000nxs2 DJM 900 nexus2 all linked with a switch and connected via digital out to the mixer.

Mixer then connects to a focusrite Safire pro 26 audio interface from digital out. The interface then connects to a 27" 2015 iMac using FireWire to thunderbolt adapter or a 15" 2012 MacBook Pro using FireWire only.

I also have an RMX 1000 connected via jacks to the send and return as an insert device.

I also have 2 Mackie MR6 speakers connected to the Safire using XLR.

All cables are high quality and correct for each device.

This is the same cables and set up I used with my previous CDJ/DJM 2000 NXS set up a couple months back and worked flawlessly.

It makes no difference if the send and return button is activated on the mixer or not.

The drop out occurs around two to three times per hour roughly.

Any ideas?

Have you tried simplifying things to see what could be the issue?

Pioneer are going to want you to do this first I'd guess.

Try connecting your speakers (are they active) directly to the DJM. I'd also dig out some RCA cables to rule out if you have a digital connection issue on your units.

Be good to hear what set of circumstances causes the issue. Some of the folk on here can probably guide you a little more if you can narrow things down a little.

Good luck

@Pulsator > Barn is right.  We need to simplify your system to find out where the trouble is.  Please plug your speakers directly into the mixer using XLR cables.  If you still get dropouts, which you likely won't, we can investigate further.  If not, then the issue lies within your interface, computers or firewire/thunderbolt cables.
