XDJ-R1 and Virtual DJ LE

Hi,

I am facing an issue with XDJ-R1 (1.10) and Virtual DJ LE (V8).

1) After 15 minutes, the VDJ application stops or it is like blocked and the XDJ-R1 is frozen. I am not sure if the problem is from VDJ software or the XDJ-R1 which is purchased one week ago.

2) I also noticed that the Trim knobs and the Master level knobs do not control the the gain and the master knobs in Virtual DJ. The EQ knobs work fine, faders work fine, cross fader work fine etc..

Could you please advice especially on 1

1) Without knowing more about your computer, I couldn't say for sure.

2) That's entirely up to whoever programmed the MIDI mapping of the controls for the XDJ-R1 and Virtual DJ, as well as how you have the audio output configured within the software.

Hi Pulse,

1) I am using an HP Elitebook 840 G1 with Windows 7 Entreprise 64 bits. I have 16 GB of RAM and I have 4 USB 3.0 ports one of them is a charging port (I am not using it to connect the XDJ-R1). I am also using the driver provided on the XDJ-R1 CD. Please note that I have disabled all power management on USB ports and also put the power scheme on best performance.

2) I did a test again and the Trim knobs are reacting now but some times they react with demay however the master knob is not reacting and the Cue Headphone also is not reacting. For mapping, I have followed the Pioneer pdf instructions on how we set-up VDJ Limited Edition. I have also checked this Ultra Latency ASIO as recommende. Sometimes, when VDJ is launched I heard some crackling noise without playing any music once the VDJ is closed there is no noise. I am really confused why it is not stable.

I much appreciate your help as I am pretty new on this

Thanks

I can't provide any assistance on why your computer is crashing while running VDJ, you should seek further help on their forums. It could be you have other applications running in the background causing issues or even a virus or malware.

As for the crackling, that means your audio latency (buffer) needs to be raised to a larger value. Set it as low as you can without any audio noise or skips. Don't set a value based on someone else's settings or recommendation, it will differ for each and every computer.

Again, if the R1 mapping and audio configuration you're using does not send MIDI signal to the software, you won't see those changing on-screen.
