XDJ-RX waveform issues

- What are the brand / model of the USB drives you used?

- What is the format of those USB drives? And if you formatted them on your Mac, did you ensure the partition map was set to Master Boot Record?

- If you have tried with multiple USB devices, have you tried re-formatting your USB drive and giving it a different, unique name then tried again?

- What is the filetype of the track not showing the waveform?

- Does it not show the large waveform for ANY song or just some songs?

- How long are the songs where the waveform isn't showing?

Hello, I got my rx2 yesterday and I'm having this same issue. I am new to rekordbox so I'm not sure how what I'm doing here, I transfer my music to my USB directly from my computer is this the right way to do it? Or do I need to use rekordox to transfer my files to my USB? Thank you.

You should import your music to rekordbox first, analyse it, then export it to a USB drive from within rekordbox.

What is the real issue if you import from any disk to Rekordbox? 

@HAMOJA > Answered your question in the ticket you had open with our support team; the reason you need to import is to analyse the tracks to build the waveform, beatgrid, key, etc. This also allows additional functionality of browsing, sorting, searching, and filtering your collection and playlists.
