I honestly don't see it as a problem. Here, for comparison, is Serato running at 667% CPU during track analysis:

So rekordbox using 50-80% is really a non-issue when I have 800% available.
Does any one have any recommendations to help reduce the CPU usage when using Rekordbox DJ in Performance mode?
Cheers
Joey

So you machine is running Serato at 83.38%.
I am just seeing if people have advice on ways they have reduced CPU usage. Nothing more concerning when you are mid gig and the the CPU bar starts getting close to 100%. Nobody wants drop outs.
That's only during analysis. rekordbox also takes up several hundred % when importing tracks. I was just pointing out that rekordbox, when operating normally on my machine, is between 50-80% CPU usage out of 800% total. That's less than 10% max.
Same task - track analysis - on rekordbox:

The performance usage is nowhere near this high. If rekordbox is okay going to 758%, I think I'm fine with it at 80%.
I am also curious to how manage cpu more efficiently. For whatever reason my audio cuts out when browsing too quickly using Rekordbox performance with a ddj-rx.
i have a MacBook Pro retina w 8GB of memory. My iTunes library is off of an external drive but the drive is ssd so I'm not sure.
I just upgraded to 4.1.1 from 4.1.0 and not my cpu hovers around 78% usage when idle. Laptop gets very hot and fans running like crazy. Only difference was the update. What gives??
