serato dj 1.9 not working w/ pioneer 900 srt w/ turntables

currently I am having issues with serato dj 1.9.0 with a brand new macbook pro running osx 10.11.4, 16 gigs ram, over 300 gigs free storage.

serato dj works fine when hooked up to my rane 62 and my denon dj box.

problem is when connected to the pioneer 900 srt mixer. I have downloaded and installed latest drivers. when I plug the usb cable directly from mixer into my laptop the green light on mixer comes on and my serato dj app shows I am connected to the mixer.

when I place my needle on the tone record it gives me a read line above each turntable instead of a good grey line. I have tried clicking cdjs then back to turntables to see if that helps re-set but it does not. I have tried switching inputs and that does not work...still a read line from the feed.

in order to get thing to work I have had to run my denon dj box into the mixer, then everything works but I know I should not have to do this in order to have things working properly as it worked fine on a previous macbook pro.

i did download the latest firmware to my computer but I am unable to directly connect to pioneer mixer with an ethernet cable as the new macbook pros longer have that port. the tech i spoke with at pioneer said the firmware would not cause this issue and that the adapters to go from usb to ethernet don't work on mixer.

how people are getting the new macbook pros w/ el capitan are able to run off the pioneer 900 srt mixer with turntables? plus i see the last firmware update was feb of 2014 so the mixer I am using would have that already installed. the tech from pioneer claimed it was most likely an issue within serato.

my previous macbook pro was running serato dj 1.8 and had no issues connecting to mixer and getting a good read from turntables.

thank you in advance for any help.
