Ethernet cable, does it matter

I'm curious about the ethernet cables, upgrade or keep the ones that came with the units? These cables all seem to be the same, just quality of build?

There were two varieties of ethernet cable that shipped with the original CDJ-2000's; one with a plastic side and one with a metal side on the jack. The metal-sided version had a tighter fit and seemed to have fewer problems, but the long-and-short of it is if you don't have problems with the communication, the cables are just fine.

Yes, the RCA cables which ship with the CDJs are cheap, but for short-distance runs between the player and mixer, they work just fine. I prefer using a higher quality 75ohm cable for the digital connection myself.

I bought my CDJ-2000NXS and DJM-900NXS 2 years ago and have used the original ethernet cable sins day one! Newer had any problems. I hava tried out other cables but nothing different from the original cable. Only problem i got was that my old ethernet hub failed me. suddenly my players started to loos connection and end up in emergency loop. I bought a new hub and the problems disappeared. Nothing to do whit Ethernet cables or the CDJ´s
