That license key was for rekordbox 2.x. As of version 3, rekordbox moved to a free-to-use, no license required mode of operation. With the introduction of rekordbox DJ (aka performance mode), you require a new key to unlock this new function, which can be purchased for a one-time fee or via monthly subscription. You can take advantage of a 30 day free trial of performance mode before investing in a license.
