@Peter > Yes! You can use virtually any MIDI controller to manipulate various controls within rekordbox, including the loops, slicer and effects.
As Rekordbox now supports MIDI mapping for controllers, does this mean I could control features like Loop Capture, Slicer Capture and/or Beat FX Time Adjustment with an additional MIDI controller (e.g. AKAI LPD8) ?
I am trying to decide whether to buy an SX2 or RX - but I read there are so many issues with Rekordbox DJ at the moment and many DJs are frustrated. So I imagined I could buy the SX2 - which cannot control every feature of Rekordbox like the RX - and get help from a MIDI controller to fill the gaps.
Is it possible?

@Pulse > Thanks!
By the way, are you able to tell me for how long any Pioneer DJ controller is planned to be supported, in general?
The reason I am asking is I have had a bad experience with an Allen & Heath Xone DX, which I bought 4-5 years ago, which is no longer supported and the device is trash, so to speak, as I cannot use it with any up-to-date OS anymore. That is the reason I want to buy a new controller now.
I have become over-cautious about this, afraid it will happen with and SX2 for example. If I buy an SX2, can I be sure it will be supported for at least 2-3 more years, starting today?
The majority of Pioneer gear is supported for quite a long time, the exact amount of time we don't know. I would expect a new SX2 to be capable of use for at least 4-5 years, but the variable is the updates that Pioneer has no influence on.
Thank you Jay. That's the answer I have been hoping to get!
