CDJ USB

Hello, i've recently bought a pair of corsair survivor stealth 32 gb usb and i'd like to know if they're 100% compatible with my cdj 2000 NXS. a year ago i bought 2 lexar and they weren't good because they work only for few minutes then the cdj says usb not found. Thanks for help

Yes. All drives are compatible when they are formatted in FAT16, FAT32 or HFS+.

If you experience issues with your drive not being recognized, you should follow these guidelines:

① You may be using a USB storage device with a large power consumption current. (If power current above the allowable level flows in the USB device, a caution appears on the CDJ-2000/900's center display.) Use USB devices with a power consumption within the CDJ-2000/900's rating of 500 mA. Also, it's always better to use an HDD for which power can be supplied externally with and AC adapter, etc.
② Supported formats are: FAT16, FAT32 or HFS+.
③ The CDJ-2000/900 does not support the GUID partition map Mac OS standard format.
④ USB storage devices formatted with "Distinguish between capital/small letters" set for the Mac extension format may not be recognized.

@Edoardo > To expand on @Mark's comments -- there are no guarantees any particular USB drive will work with Pioneer products. While we can do testing and report that we've had no issues with one specific make and model, if you were to go out and purchase the identical unit, there is always a chance that the manufacturer has made a running change to the internal parts and then your unit won't perform exactly the same as the one we tested (for better or worse).

All I can do is recommend that you purchase the best drive you can afford. Good drives aren't terribly expensive any more, but there are certainly tons of crappy cheap ones out there. The more you pay, the better a product you'll get with faster transfer speeds (for exporting from rekordbox).

If you're so inclined, feel free to do a speed test on your drive and post your findings here -- there are even prizes to be won!
