CDJ-400 issue maybe? Sreen getting hot slight smell...

I just bought a CDJ-400 From ebay, does the displays screens get hot? I would not say it is massively hot,  but if you put your face near it you can feel the heat slighty coming from it and their is a slight smell coming from the machine is this normal? And that strange smell is still hanging about when it off, so it just might be the plastic.
