The engineers have informed us that there will be a button introduced in the GUI for this function in a future update!

There is no dedicated hardware button for this on the DDJ-RB and, currently, there is no option to switch between CDJ/Vinyl mode within rekordbox dj itself.

I'm still waiting on an official answer but my assumption is that this feature was supposed to be added to the software GUI BEFORE the product was released but the update got delayed for some reason.

I have already created a support ticket for this and will report back any updates as I receive them.  I would like to apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for patience.

Phew! I thought i was going crazy not being able to find it in the GUI or settings.

Great controller though, significant improvement over SB and SB2.

I've heard back from the engineers.  Their response is below.

Whenever DDJ-RB is launched, it starts in Vinyl mode.

When touching the top of the jog wheel, you can scratch and when touching the rim of the wheel, you can pitch bend. See the Hardware Diagram.

Also, you can change the rekordbox settings to switch between CDJ and Vinyl mode.

1. Open the Preferences.

2. Select "Keyboard".

3. Select decks you want to switch.

4. Assign a shortcut key for Vinyl mode.

5. When you press the shortcut key combination you assigned, you will be able to switch between CDJ and VINYL mode.

* Please note DDJ-RB always start in VINYL mode.

Hi guys. It's easy.

Just open Midi -> Deck {select DDJ RB if not selected on "Connected Devices"} -> Add -> Vinyl -> Learn (I deleted the sync mappings cause i don't use them and mapped the vinyl mode there) Click the button you want to map (needs to be an unassigned button) and you're done. Duplicate that, change to deck 2 and click the button for the second deck and OK after that. Now the sync buttons works as a switch between vinyl/cd mode. :)

@Arthur > The point was there is no pre-defined function on the RB to do this, nor are there any "free" controls on the RB to map that function.
