PRO-DJ LINK Confusions

Hey Guys! New here, as well as in DJ'ing. Anyways, I've got a series of questions below and I hope you can answer them because this is my last hope .

1: When using two CDJ 2000NXS and a DJM 900NXS setup:

I can either connect the two cdjs using a lan cable a connecting it into the link port of each other. OR, I can use a hub and connect one cable to deck 1 and the hub, another able to deck 2 and hub and then another cable to the mixer and the hub. Then, I can use a USB , plug into the cdj and access it on other cdj with on-air display. or I can use another lan cable and connect it to my laptop and the hub. If there are 4 CDJs, i'll just connect two more cable to the hub . Like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oy_TmpC6uZs

Right?

2: When it comes to DJM 2000NXS:

This gets complicated. If I have 4 cdjs and I want to use the pro dj link involving the mixer:

I'll plug 4 lan cables to each player and all will hook up to their corresponding channel numbers in the link section in the mixer( 2000 has 4 channels of link).

Now, my doubt is, if I plug in a usb in deck 1, will I be able to get it in all the other decks? Because the decks aren't connected to each other but to the mixer.

Second doubt. With all the 4 link ports gone, and if I have to connect my laptop having rekordbox, I will simply use a lan cable and connect it to the computer port right? Well y are two computer ports there? And even in the manuals and pictures, in the pro-dj link setup, they've used two laptops to show. Why is that required? An example: Page 8 in their official manual: They use two laptops which connect to the rear of the mixer (computer port).

Also, can't I just use a laptop and connect it to either one of the cdjs or the mixer? (it has a usb port in the back).

Please help me, I'm really confused.

Hi welcome
Your queries are answered below for questions
1>. Yes. .. You connect lans to the hub for each players and mixer.

2> yes . When using djm 2000 connected to cdjs you can access all music from your media(usb) .

3> the extra port if to allow you to add an additional computer .. Makes it simple when you have multiple djs performing together.
You can Only connect laptops to the Mixer and not the Cdjs

To elaborate on @Praveen's answers...

1) Yes, you can connect two players directly to share data from either player, and to sync, or you can connect all players and a mixer via a network switch (hub) or router (although a switch is preferred) to allow for "On-Air" functionality.

2) Yes, the built-in hub on the DJM-2000 is the same as a network switch.

3) You can connect up to 2 computers to the Pro DJ Link network, the DJM-2000 provides those two ports so no extra hardware is required, just a cable from the mixer to your computer. The USB port is for using the mixer as an audio interface / MIDI device, not for the link (networking) functionality.
