Backup of music whilst retaining playlist/tag info

Hi,

I'd like to run a backup of my database onto an external hard drive - my laptop is full and the backup feature seems like a great way to organise my files in one place so I don't accidentally delete them (they are currently a big mess in various folders all over my desktop).

I know how to run a backup but have the following questions:

1. How to tell Rekordbox to look at the nicely organised backup folders for my music so I can delete the desktop ones?

2. How to keep ALL playlist information and tag information intact? (Last time I did this I lost all my tags thinking this info was embedded in the track info).
