Just received my brand new CDJ2000 NXS2 & DJM900 NXS2 and I was wondering if I still need to purchase a key to use Rekordbox DJ.
I figured it would come with a key, considering the price! :o

you still need to purchase it, why would you though? the NXS2's were designed to run as standalone players with rekordbox exported tracks, or rekordbox LINK, if you're just going to use rekordbox DJ, you could've just purchase the RZ in my opinion which is half the price and comes with rekordbox DJ

Well I figured, I could use rekordbox DJ for private events where the music is all over the place & USBs for my main sets.
Gotta try rekordbox link as well, might be another option.
Still think pioneer should've included a courtesy license! 😁

Pioneer still have not fully integrated the new mixer and cdj's with RB DJ.. Not sure why though... You still loose the wave on the New cd's and have to use them in HID mode.. Using them in link mode Like I use my NXS MK1's are IMO great... You have access to all you music on the laptop and just drag and drop the tunes you want on the cdj or just search from the cdj itself.. It would of been nice if they fully integrated the new players with RB like Traktor.. On there players you don't loose any of the information.. You still have your waveform on both.
@Xio, keep in mind you can use your rekordbox library for free from the software linked to the decks, works great, i have used it for years, no need for rekordbox DJ, Serato, Etc.... with these decks
