No, never. I've had an RX for over a year now...
Maybe it has something to do with what you are playing to... (headphones or speakers faulty)...?
I've noticed that after mixing for 10 mins or so the audio quality of the tracks being played changes. It has like a muffled sound to it. I thought it was just me but I noticed it in my recorded mixes as well. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

It's not the speakers or headphones as I can hear that audio quality change on mixes I've recorded. All the tracks I have are 320kpbs or higher.
@Miguel > Is it direct on the RX itself or are you using rekordbox?
@pulse-I drag and drop the tracks in directly from rekordbox.
I have same problem a very flat sound as if no low end and eq not working properly. It comes and goes, more so than not. pairing vinyl decks, no chance noticed this from outset. Initially assumed its just a digital sound and reverted to my vinyl decks through std mixer for the quality. Hope there is a simple solution a setting or a switch or simply faulty unit and i can send back under warranty as only purchased at xmas and actually luv it, maybe a faulty sound card?. All my tunes are waves or 320MP3 and when the mixer has no problem its awsome, but when its bad as mentioned cannot use. Its seems playing out on large PA you get away with but in a studio or for streaming radio not acceptable. Rekord box software and XDJRX firmware always updated, tried different flash drives. Also seems longer its in use sound gets better, either that or getting used to it
PLEASE HELP PIONEER!!!
That's exactly what happens with mine. It sounds flat.
So I did a test set using tracks from the USB drive and did it as well. So it's something with the unit that's causing the change of sound.
@Miguel > In your tests, if you reboot the RX, does the quality resume to "initial" quality immediately and then degrade again? Or would it be degraded from that point on as well?
@pulse-yes when you turn off the unit and start it back up, the quality is good but then after 15-20mins of use the quality drops again.
Okay, so it's not something affected thermally as it resumes normal operation after reboot, and it doesn't affect every user (or we'd have a LOT more people talking about it -- myself included)!
I'm trying to gather as much information as I can to get this over to our XDJ team for additional support.
If you simply turn it on and leave it for like 20-30 minutes and THEN play the first song, does it sound normal or does it sound different at that point?
You noted that it also occurs in the recording, not just the master output - I'm assuming you're recording to the USB directly on the unit? If that's the case, can you make a recording and post it here for us to analyse?
@pulse-I haven't tried the turning it on for 15-20 mins and seeing if the quality changes. I'll have to do that and see if it changes the quality when I load a track. As far as a recording, I will be doing one in the next day or so. And my recodings are done directly to usb plugged in to the unit. I will report back with findings.
@pulse-so I left the unit on for 15-20 mins and played a track and the quality was good. Then after 15 mins, the quality went down again. It basically sounds like it looses the low end sound.
@pulse-recorded a set, right around a little past the 10 min mark you can hear the change in quality. Sounds muffled.

Sorry, my ears are pretty good and I can't hear any changes - are you sure it's not your speakers? I even tried skipping around the mixset to compare portions of audio and didn't feel there was any appreciable difference in quality between samples from the first 10 minutes or after that 10 minute mark.
Is there an exact time you can pinpoint a change and is it a sudden change or a gradual change?
@pulse-it's not the speakers as it sounds the same on headphones and in my car. You can hear it more pronounce around 67mins in. It just sounds kinda flat. There is some low end to it but the sound quality is different.
Could you please chop the original wave into a 2-3 minute sample of where it changes?
@pulse-I'll see what I can do.
I am having the same issue with my unit... The eq gains practically do not work and everything sounds extremely flat and muffled... It doesn't matter weither I use the flash drive or the laptop.... This is not good.
Same problem here! After 10 minutes the quality drops. 5 minutes later it's normal again!
Is there a solution to this problem??
I am having the same problem and not sure where to start
