It would be more than great if the sync function can be turned off when loading a new track. Everytime you load a new track you can decide if you want to use sync or not. But now it stay's on if you load a new track.
If the new track is way off and you don't want to use sync, it will go to super strange tempo's. (plus or minus 40% or so) And the disaster is, the tempo slider goes to WIDE. It should stay fixed on 6 or 10 or 16, depending on your own choice. But it jumps to wide and then you are completely f#*cked. Very strange things will happen...
It would be so much better if sync will be switched off when loading a new track. Or at least build in that option in the settings. I had a few major mistakes last night because of this.
Sorry to say, but in Traktor you can choose to reset all those kind of settings when loading a new track. It would be so good if that option will be available in a future update of Rekordbox.

I understand why this would be a problem for users who are coming over from Traktor. I will make the suggestion to our product planning team. Thank you.
Thanks Mark, most appreciated! My guess is a lot of people will come from Traktor. The option of resetting controls like tempo range and sync saves you a lot of actions before you can start mixing your track with the one already playing.
And, I've mentioned it before in a previous post, if you have switched auto play to off, it will still start automatically if the previous track has ran out all the way. It would be very nice if this will be fixed as well.
So after the switch coming from Traktor I'm very happy with a lot of features in the software but also waiting patiently for some improvements mentioned on this forum.
Thanks for all the hard work!
Still not resolved...
This is a feature suggestion, not a bug. We have recommended this feature be incorporated in a future release but we do not know if/when this will happen.
