I decided to give performance mode a try out, but obviously its not working for me the way its intended.
I changed the mixer mode to midi, connected L & R deck as required, keeping the XDJ RX in midi mode on the screen on my mac when I move controls on the mixer I can see them move on screen on my mac and when I load a song I can hear it as normal
Problem is though I have no lights at either deck. Pressing the buttons, the functions seem to work , i.e loop etc but nothing lights up to show me the function is working and neither does the platter light up when a song is playing.
I have the latest version of rekordbox installed, updated the XDJ RX to the latest firmware today and also installed the latest USB drivers.
Surely this is not the way its supposed to work??

I am having the exact same issue - latest firmware and rekordbox version. Pioneer can you please advise on this and how to fix it? Can't say I'm impressed - I have to pay for rekordbox now and still it doesn't work properly with my £1100 controller.....
Mate I have been able to get mine working, but after hours of trying different things. I found a post about deleting the midi settings for xdj on ur Mac , under utilities then reconnecting the xdj again via midi.
il try find the post again and link it for you. If you have a Mac and are having the same issue then I can confirm this def sorted it out for me and I'm sure for you too.
But for now, try find the midi settings under utilities on your Mac, delete the pioneer connections that are there and reconnect again.
