Adding hardware to my sets

I'm thinking about adding a live aspect to my sets and am wanting to be able to trigger long samples, sounds and loops which will follow the BPM of the tunes I'm playing.

I was told using Ableton with the Akai APC40 mk2 would do the trick but I have no idea and I'm worried about the BPMs not matching.

I'm using the full Nexus set up. Does the Nexus DJM 2000 have midi sync, as I was told that this is a must to do what I'm looking to.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
