you won't get help here unfortunately, they cant give you technical info on the players
you can look here though and find schematics on the player and most likely figure it out - http://parts.pioneerelectronics.com/model.asp?modelNum=CDJ%2D2000
I am having two problems with my Pioneer CDJ 2000.
1. It will not read USB devices
2. The LAN port (for link feature) is loose and does not hold the ethernet cable properly.
What parts are required to fix these problems?

and if its the 2 parts I think you need, you're looking at $400 before tax and shipping
Im on a Pioneer DJ forum and I cant get technical info on the players? That is absolutely ridiculous.
$400 is a lot for a repair when they are selling used for around $1000 CND where I`m from. What do you think of taking it to some electronics repair store where someone who is not a Pioneer technician could look at it. Do you think they could maybe fix theses issues with;
A) a soldering gun
B) replacement parts (not necessarily the exact same as Pioneers)
It can`t be that complicated beneath the faceplate of the CDJ for someone who works on laptops (laptops have the same ports [USB and LAN]). Please advise.
Thank you,
Dylan
no, they're not going to tell you to open up players and what parts to replace, they will tell you to take it to a local authorized repair shop, thats about it
with that said, the ethernet is on the main board, I have soldered in a new one without replacing the board if you're good, if not then a new board is $350
its not complicated underneath at all if you are technical and have some background in soldering
from Pioneer reps in the past

I have attached a picture from an unauthorized Pioneer parts site. They are calling it the USBA Assy. It hard to tell from the picture if that is the top USB port or the back USB cable port. Is this the right part for my issue? Is this the top USB port replacement?
Thanks again,
Dylan

that looks like the top one, the back one is on the main board near the ethernet on the 2000 (non nexus) MAIN ASSY in the diagram
Ok thanks alot.. I think I`m going to pick these parts up and take them to a solderer.
Dylan
that part is easy, just a ribbon cable, the ethernet is the pain in the ass
