With which software are you using the XDJs as audio devices? And you mention "connected via USB to a PC," is that reference to "PC" meaning the Macbook or a Windows machine?

XDJ-1000 Freezing
We have had our XDJ-1000s at our Nightclub for about 4 months now and on more then 1 occation have had this problem
With both XDJs connected via USB Cable to a Macbook using them boh as a Midi Controller and Aggregate Device at random moments when switching over from Midi mode to normal USB mode the CDJ would just get stuck on NOW LOADING (Obviously causing a panic during a live set, then when trying to switch back to midi mode the screen would again just say loading and not have any midi capability
The only way to solve the issue has been to urn the device on/off which if you are using a Aggregate Device will completely stop the music
Please Note: This has happened with different macbooks connected and only ever happenes if they are connected via USB to a PC

One thing I've known about any DJ gear is even if it has the ability to switch between sources, and even if it doesn't disconnect the HID / MIDI / audio device when switching, it rarely winds up with a trouble-free outcome.
Obviously resetting one of the devices will destroy the aggregate, and Traktor HATES it when you mess with the audio devices. I tried to replicate this today and I wasn't able to get it to fully freeze -- it did show the "NOW LOADING" text on the screen a couple of times during a switch, but it did eventually pop up.
