When I am in PC mode and I select the MIDI button, then press the right hand rotary knob it used to switch to the player and just say 'Not Loaded', but now it won't even activate the MIDI mode, its just says 'Not Connected'. Pioneer claim its a coincidental USB port failure, but thats possible as the software function doesn't even work anymore since the update for firmware version 3.0.
Everything else works WiFi with RekordboxDJ, USB thumb drives, the lot. Its just the MIDI USB function which no longer works.
Pioneer couldn't even tell me how to do a hardware reset. Its not even in the manual, but thankfully for the forum groups someone knew how to do this. So if Pioneer can't even give me the benefit of the doubt and test the firmware 3.0 update of a device which as firmware version 1.2, well to think they are always right isn't always the case.

@Daniel > I'd like to help you out -- can you confirm for me that it's rekordbox DJ that you're using the AERO to control, and you are in PERFORMANCE mode?
its not the software which is the issue. The controller worked fine with the USB midi before I updated the firmware from 1.2 to 3.0. Pioneer are insisting its coincidental USB failure, which I find impossible to believe and just before the update it was working fine.. Also when you have the USB midi cable plugged into the laptop it locks it up which means there is a signal which to me also indicates that its a software issue.
What I want do before I send it off under warrantee is to rollback the firmware to 1.2 and rule this out first.
