DJM S9 Function button freeze

I am seriously going to lose my f*cking mind if this issue keeps occurring. I bought this mixer back in December for $1900 including tax. I problem has been happening that I cannot figure and it is seriously driving me crazy. I can't return the mixer and get my money back but I will say this; spending $1900 on a piece of gear and having so many issues with is not what I anticipated. You should ZERO problems with this mixer from the start. My problem is that the "PAD MODE" buttons will freeze and can only be fixed by restarting the mixer. Everythung else works great (except for the cheap paint Pioneer used on the faceplate of course.) This problem did not occur at all when using my Macbook Air using the exact same equipment and Serato DJ version (1.9.1.) My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 14R running Windows 7 fully updated, 8 GB of DDR3, i5 CPU @ 2.53 Ghz. I do not use usb hubs nor anything else other than Technics 1210's, my laptop, and the mixer. Pioneer wants me to send the mixer in to troubleshoot the problem but this problem didn't happen for months and just came back yesterday. I am trying to be positive about this issue but I am losing hope and seriously regretting buying this f*cking thing. I was extremely happy when I first got it. Had no idea it would be a god damn nightmare to use. If it worked right, it would be the best mixer I've ever used. I spent $1900 and I'm PISSED OFF because I cannot return it and I'm stuck with this piece of sh*t. Oh, did I mention that I'm a working DJ? Yeah, this mixer is completely unreliable. Has been 2 months after I bought it even with Serato DJ 1.9.0. Can someone fix this please? Help!

Just to clarify, this issue ONLY happened on your Windows computer?

Hello Pulse and thank you for responding. So far it has only happened on my PC. I keep using the Mac to make sure yet it could happen there as well. As of yet, no. I used the Mac for about a month and this problem never occurred. I do not know what the hell is going on. I have literally tried e verything I can think of. I even installed an SSD in my laptop to increase the performance. This machine is extremely capable of running Serato DJ with no problems. There's a glitch somewhere obviously but do not know where. I don't understand why the mixer loses the pad modes all of a sudden mid set. It's frustrating like crazy. This mixer cost me $1900 and this shit happens. I'm beyond upset.

I understand you're upset, but whether you spent $1900 or $190, we want our product to perform as expected, and I'm here to try and help you out.

There are countless reasons these problems may occur, and with computers in the fray, the potential for small bugs to cause big problems expands exponentially. A perfect example of it potentially being an issue with your computer and not the mixer is the fact it happens with the PC but not the Mac. It may have nothing to do with the mixer but rather the USB chipset in your PC. If you're using the same USB cable with both computers, it eliminates that as a potential problem.

My recommendation is to first ensure that your computer is up-to-date with the latest patches from Microsoft, as well as any drivers from:

NVIDIA
Intel
AMD / ATI

The Intel one is important to run if ANY of the chipsets in your computer are Intel-based as quite often the mainboard uses a control chipset to manage other devices (such as the USB host).
