ISO vs EQ

I'm trying to decide which one I prefer best but there's not a lot in it.

Does anyone have a preference over the other?

Can you actually tell the difference between the two (apart from ISO being complete kills)?

I feel that EQ has a "warmer" sound to it.

Be good to know your thoughts?

I think there is the tech side of numbers and the real world side of sound and how that sound works on and in your ears.  As the sage, PULSE, will say, "Use and trust your ears"....  Go with what sounds best to you and your events, or just go ISO when you want that staccato attack that it brings.

I prefer ISO as it kills the frequencies completely, but I also have noticed the EQ mode sounds warmer (prob due to the fact that it lets some frequencies through when turning the bass completely down etc..)
But I still have to decide if I can actually hear a difference in a club scenario when mixing?

Some more comments from dj's out there would be interesting to hear?

i mix alot Hardstyle from ealry to raw and i prefer the ISO for harder electronic music styles

for softer genres like house, raggae, rnb and so on i would prefer the warm EQ

*edit: and if you mix your songs often beat in beat i would go for the ISO
