CDJ 850 sends out distorted/noisy sound.

Hi all,

Yesterday I recognized that one of my CDJ 850 is sending out a little distorted/noisy sound especially while the kick/bass is playing. I changed all channels on the mixer and checked it with other cables, but with the one CDJ 850 the problem stays.. Also the signal in the mixer is normal and not going in the red or something like that.. Is someone familiar with this problem? I think there is something wrong with the audio out? I tried to clean it, but nothing works. :( Hope someone knows whats wrong and pray that it's not a to expensive lack, because my warranty stopped a few months ago..

Also tried to clean the USB port with a toothbrush, but this is not helping..

Hi Loek,

I realise your post is from 2016, but I'm hoping you can furnish me with an answer to how you remedied the distortion problem as I'm having the same problem with one of my 850s.

I have tried replacing both worn looking ribbon cables and the rca output pcb/connectors but the problem still occurs. After I replaced the ribbon cables last night I used the decks for approx. four hours (using both CDs and USB sticks) and all seemed ok. When I fired them up again this morning for another test, the distorted output was back!

PLEASE HELP/ADVISE !!!!
