CDJ-850 Not working with RekordBox

So this is my first time using Rekordbox and I figured i'd want to connect my CDJ-850's in HID mode the same as I would in Traktor or Virtual DJ. Now, I have my CDJ-850's directly connected to my laptop via USB cables. Firmware on the CDJ's  is 1.13. (Latest version) I found some instructions on another forum post but still no luck. I can get them to show connected in PC mode but I cannot get them to allow me to select decks. I figured I could run the audio out of each the same as I do with Traktor and Virtual DJ into channels of my DJM-3000. So far no luck.

I've tried this:

• connected the CDJs via USB directly to the laptop running Windows 11
• powered on the CDJs and put them in PC mode
• opened rekordbox

Please help. I'm trying to move away from Traktor and Virtual DJ.
