cdj 2000 nxs emergency loop issue

is there likely to be a firmware update any time soon for the cdj 2000 nexus??  i always update my firmware, but been having trouble since the last update (1.30).  being a commercial dj i have a lot of tracks on my hard drives, and expect the loading time to be a little slower than lesser memory usb sticks.  anyway, since the last firmware update, they are now really slow, so much so that i have had tracks freeze and emergency loop.  this is quite embarrassing when dj'ing, and i've never had this problem before this update.  so ...... is this a problem anyone else is experiencing?  is there going to be a firmware update any time soon that will sort this issue out?  is there a way to roll back to the last firmware update?  any help / info would be greatly appreciated and received.

Tell us more about your setup. For example:

  • make/model/OS of laptop
  • type of USB sticks
  • type of hard drives and/or hard drive enclosures
  • are the tracks analyzed/managed/exported using Rekordbox?
  • Are the results any different when using your laptop/Rekordbox with your DJ setup vs. using a USB/external HDD?

I use 3 different laptops tbh, Lenovo, hip, and MacBook.

the tracks are checked for errors before analysing thru rekordbox. There are no issues with the tracks - any that have gone into emergency loop have played at other times so it isn't that.

i use seagate external hard drives, both identical to each other, 1tb but only have about 200gb of data on them. I have reformatted, defragged etc.

i haven't tried connecting the decks to a laptop as that's not how I Dj. This seems to be an issue with the players nothing else. Hard drives are fine, tracks are fine, laptops are fine. I think it's more an issue with loading the tracks which is causing the loop, tends to happen more if I'm using 1 drive for both decks - to avoid the issue at the moment I have individual hard drives for each deck to avoid this embarrassing issue
