Can cdj 2000 nxs and nxs2 read external hdd s

I was told cdj s cannot read ntfs  but what of exfat.

 

If I have an external hdd that is formated with exfFAT, can the cdjs read the hdd and pull the files from it.  or

From page 6 of the Pioneer CDJ-2000NXS2 manual:

FAT16, FAT32, HFS.

If you're external HDD has been formatted with one of these types and you've exported your RekordBox analyzed files to the hard drive, the CDJ-2000NXS/NXS2 will read it just fine. Consider opting for a SSD. You'll achieve better performance without the risk of having the HDD skip or become damaged from vibrations/drops.
