Auto relocate

Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6

Rekordbox v.6.7.0

I need to backup and restore my entire Collection with all database, in One New External drive, that we'll call "NEW". I need to to this because,

I got my All collection of 1602 tracks, on different external drives (Two SSD external drives and One SSD card).

To make sure all my tracks are foundable:

> I plug the three devices, before running on Rekordbox

> Launch Rekordbox

> Click: File > Display all missing files

Got the message: "All your tracks exists" (or something like that)

So I clicked :

>File > Library > Backup (with all the music files as well)

To the root of "NEW".

When finished:

> i Quit rekordbox

> Eject the three old devices

> Launch Rekordbox again

Then I Clicked :

> File > Library > Restore

I Choosed the zip file, which is in "NEW", called "rekordbox_bak_20230807".

Rekordbox Quit.

I Launched it again:

Almost all my files are missing, except my Itunes files.

I click on:

> Rekordbox > Preferences > Advanced > Database

In Auto relocate / Search folders , i press only "Specified user folders"

Then choose the folder "rekordbox_bak" which was created when I did the Backup on "NEW".

Then I tried the two ways i know to automaticaly relocate the files :

1/ By selecting all the missing files on the list collection and right click "Auto relocate"

2/ Click on > File > Display all missing files > Auto relocate (all the selection or one by one)...

NONE OF THEM WORK AT ALL.

The thing is, when I relocate manually, track by track, from the same folder ("rekordbox_bak"), it works well !!!!!!!!!

How can it be possible ?

What did I Do wrong ? Please tell me there is an issue.

I spent too much time on this software for this kind of problems...

Why "Auto Relocate" is so Helpless...

Thanks in advance.

And my Biggest misunderstood is :

Why the Backup of Rekordbox,  automatically makes a nomenclature with tracks in "Album" subfolders, which are themselves in "Artists" subfolders, which are themselves in One "rekordbox_bak" folder,

in spite of the fact that

the Function "Auto Relocate" does not search the tracks in sub folders, but just inside ONE Folder that has been selected ????????????

Start with making sure Rekordbox has Full Disk access as demonstrated here:

Fix for the #1 issue for DJs on macOS who export from Rekordbox to a CDJ USB

since Rekordbox can find your Apple Music audio files (stored on the startup drive) but not the external ones.

Auto relocate does look thru sub folders.

No auto relocation can ever be perfect. The results depend on the data that is available in the database to search for the missing audio file, and what actually happened to the audio files that caused them to be no longer available. Here is how to use auto relocate in Rekordbox, which is always the first thing to try:

Auto Relocate missing audio files in Rekordbox 6 how it works and duplicate track limitations

I'm working an an app (macOS only) that uses a different auto relocate function. I won't say it's better than the Rekordbox build in auto relocation, but it uses different metrics to find the missing audio files. Both auto relocate functions are supplemental to each other. I demonstrate it here
