Using RX3 to DJ with one powered/active speaker

Hi -

I have a basic question that I'd like help getting an answer to.

I'm DJing an upcoming event and only want to rent 1 powered speaker (likely QSC K12) to save space and also $$. What I'm trying to understand is the proper way to connect the RX3 with a stereo output to a single speaker.

What happens if I only connect the R side of the RX3 to the input of the monitor? Will I only get the sound from the right deck? Or is there a way to change the output to Mono?

any guidance on how best to setup with 1 speaker would be much appreciated!

You could get away with just a simple RCA/phono 'Y' Splitter used in reverse (ie 2 in to 1 out), but it's not recommended. A simple mixer is a better way to do it, plug left and right out of your RX into two channels on the mixer, then take single output from the mixer to the active speaker.
