The mixer does not have a built in recorder function like for example the DJM-350 has, if you were thinking along those lines? But, there are of course other ways. Either you hook up some kind of recorder, like a Zoom or similar to the REC outputs on the mixer, or, they way I do it, you connect the DJM-850 with a USB cable to a computer (with all drivers and stuff setup correctly) and use the built in soundcard in the mixer, set it up to send REC out on one channel (stereochannel really) and record using for example Audacity, just select the mixer and the channel you have assigned REC out to in Audacity.
