XDJ-RX keeps shutting down and reboots/restarts randomly

Hi Hoping someone can help.  I have a XDJ-RX which randomly, shutsdown, (all LEDs, and  LCD display turn off) and then the controller reboots with the logo and progress bar then back to normal.  this will repeat randomly, wether I am paying a song or not, USB drive connected or not.  IT is also random, might happen as soon as I turn it on, might happen in 15mins, might happen after playing normally for an hour.

Things I have tried:

controller is on the latest 2.02 firmware.  I have nothing else connected to the controller: no PC/mac (I use rekordbox formatted USB), no other inputs, mics or anything else.  The controller never gets too hot as it does not stay on long enough for me to play continuously.

I've tried to change the Power cable, tried different power outlet.

Is anyone else having this issue or can anyone help?  Thanks

If it's not the power cable, and not the power socket in the wall, try to flash the firmware again.

Tom, you are a genius, IT WORKED!!!  I must admit I was skeptical about your suggestion to reflash.  So last night I got home and turned it on, it rebooted during the bot and 3 times again, I tried other things, like going in to settings and turning off auto standby etc..  it crashed and rebooted again!  I didn't even it would reflash without crashing, but I did the sequence and reflashed it, then turned it off and on again.  it has not crashed since!!

 

THANK YOU for saving me headaches of trying to do warranty and repairs!  I hope this keeps up, If my issues come back I will post again, but for now time to mix!!! =)

apologies for the newbie question but how do you flash the XDJ firmware?
