The xdj rx is the best option if you want experience transferring your skills to a club like you say,the mixer is djm style which is what you find in clubs ,along with basically 2 cdjs all stuck together, you also prepare tracks on usb on the xdj rx and take them out with you.the whole system is a lot beefier and gives you a better feeling stood behind rather than the ddj rx and the fact you don't need a laptop is just brilliant ,dual waveforms and also the ability to record your set on the 2nd usb slot is a bonus .If your wondering about the best way to learn beat matching just make sure syncs off and keep your eyes away from waveforms,it doesn't really matter what you use,the jogs on the 2000s are different to any controller out there anyway
The ddjrx is a good controller and the pads are fun using multiple effects along with the extra 4 channels you can add to but on the xdjrx you turn it on and your away mixing, I don't get that feeling with ddjs,if you don't have a high end laptop aswell with a ddj you will need one to run rekordbox dj.plenty of shops let you try them out ,check them both out.the xdjrx is the best seller in most shops.

FolgenXDJ vs DDJ
Hello,
I want to buy a new set up for practicing gigs where I will play on CDJ2000's. Because the 2000's are too expensive for me I am going with something more basic. I was thinking about buying the DDJ RX because of the cool extra's and 4 decks, but lately some DJ friends told me to go for the XDJ RX because it should mirror the CDJ2000 set up more (especially the part where you work with a small screen instead of a laptop screen, also the XDJ is more like the CDJ with beatmatching they said).
I really wonder, to transfer your skills to the club and instinctively play your set, it is better to go for a XDJ to practice, or is the DDJ also good enough for that? Is the beatmatching of cdj 2000 more consistent with the XDJ or is there no difference?
The thing is, I would really love to play with 4 decks but if the XDJ gives me more confidence for club gigs than I have to prioritize that.
Secondly, if you guys would also recommend me to choose the XDJ, is it better to buy it now or do you guys think a 4 deck version is around the corner?

I would say the X DJ-RX - The thing only having 2 channels is the only downside. If only it had just a 3rd channel for plugging an extra CDJ in it would be awesome - I chose the X DJ-RX because it mirror's the DJM/CDJ NXS setup - Sync is fine to use mate if u want, but yeh better to learn without it. Basically not needing a laptop so u concentrate on the controls and the small screen is much more conducive to learning how it is in the clubs. And there is no software/latency delay - And u will get used to preparing your music with recordbox so when u do get to a club u will be totally ready - But it does only have 2 channels -
If a 4 channel one comes out. That would be sweet.
