Cdj 2000 nexus pitch changes without touching?

I played a gig friday, first time with cdj 2000nxs ever. But some strange stuff happened. I used my files in rekordbox like always. Its hard to explain.

Heres what happened:

I mostly bring the bpm up a bit after making a transition, i beatmatched the track on left deck ready to drop another transition but strange stuff happened, the pitch on the right deck was gone up a bit (like 1.2bpm) without touching it.

So i decided to test it out to load 2 tracks with the EXACT bpm values (240bpm). Brought both the tunes to 245.00 bpm exactly, i let them run and they sounded correct, but when i wanted to make the transition again the BPM of right deck was changed to 246.2 bpm without further editing the pitch.

Does somebody know whats the occurance of this is? i know it sounds very confusing. Would be fine to prevent these occurances in the future.

(i think it was something with link and master tempo but not sure, when i pitched it up high the display turned orange like master tempo or beat sync tempo thingy (the button next to the forbidden button)

Thanks in advance.

Hey, just came on here to update CDJ 2000nxs2 and saw this thread. The exact same thing happened to me on 2 gigs over the weekend - minute changes in tempo.

I have the DJM900nxs2 plus 2 CDJ2000nxs2 running and all linked.

I use an SSD as my main source of files and it's in the one player.

I also run Rekordbox alongside as I'm still in the process of getting my tunes sorted/finalised from my main hard drive. So if I suddenly think of a tune and it's not yet on my SSD I can pull it from Rekorbox.

I also thought at the time this is something to do with Master Tempo etc. But I was in the middle of the gigs so no chance to look properly.

Were you running Rekordbox too?

Yes i was running rekordbox analysed tracks. It can't be something with the track analysis, played enough with normal cdj2000s and never had any bugs with tempo changes, would be weird that even more top tier gear has it.

I really think it has something to do with the 'beat sync master' that was turned on (I never played on nexus before and i wear a mask with faded vision live at gigs so my vision was faded a bit and i thought it was 'the plain master tempo')

I remember the display turned orange, i searched the manual of the nexus and it matches with the problem. So i guess if you can turn off that button somehow the problem will be solved, but not sure how that works (i don't have nexus at home or know anybody to test it out again)

We'd need a video to show the engineers so they better understand the issue.

Also, please let us know which firmware version(s) you are running on the CDJs.

Thats not possible or hard to track, it occured on a party and the cdj 2000 nexus were probably hired. i made a reconstruction with images maybe the engineers have use to this and can test this out.

Yeah, a video would be better. Are you able to reproduce the issue?

i think it has something to do with track analysing. had similar problems on the "old" nxs and now on nxs2 too...

happened several times during live gigs

its during breakdowns when this is happening for me happens when synced and when not synced its something to do with the shift in the beat pattern as it drops down into a breakbeat is there a cure yet please ?

Was the track analysed properly? In dynamic mode or normal mode? Does the grid align properly with the tracks within rekordbox?
