[bug report] "player" interface does not respond to keyboard shortcuts

After I click on a checkbox to add a tag to a track, the keyboard shortcuts for the audio player (such as hitting the right arrow key to seek forward in the track) does not work.  I have to click on the audio playler interface in order to get it to respond to keyboard shortcuts again.  I feel like the container for the audio interface is losing "focus".  This is very disruptive in my workflow when sorting and tagging new tracks, and it would be great if this could be fixed.
