Connect XDJ to XDJ RR via AUX Imput?

Hello,

Is it possible to connect a XDJ to my XDJ RR via AUX Input?

I want to avoid a external mixer and want only to work with 2 XDJ (effective one or as backup).

Thanks!

Thanks! It works fine. It is tested between a DDJ-400 (backup) and XDJ RR

You can definitely connect an XDJ to the XDJ-RR via the AUX port, but note that the AUX input will not allow you to control that track with the XDJ-RR’s mixer/software – it acts as a secondary audio source. Good for backup or playing a secondary track, but limited to the main mix. If you just need a simple solution, it will do!

Yes, you can connect one XDJ to another XDJ-RR using the AUX input, but there are some limitations to consider. By routing the audio from the first XDJ into the AUX input of the XDJ-RR, you can play tracks from the second unit without an external mixer, though you won’t have full control over EQ, volume, or effects for each deck independently. This setup works best for simple playback or as a backup solution. Keep in mind that the AUX connection mixes the audio into a single channel, so it’s not ideal for complex mixing. For DJs who want a smoother workflow or seamless transitions, using a dedicated mixer is still recommended. For example, platforms like Sportzfy provide tutorials and setups on how to optimize multiple devices efficiently for live performances, which can help in planning your XDJ setup.

Hello, thanks for your question. Technically, connecting one XDJ to another XDJ RR via the AUX input is possible, but it comes with limitations: the AUX input will only allow you to play audio from the secondary XDJ without full control over tempo, cue points, or looping, meaning it won’t function like a fully integrated deck setup. Many use this method as a backup or for simple audio playback, but for advanced mixing features, an external mixer is still recommended. For instance, just as some users face issues with Dhuhr Time Calgary namaz speaker setups—where proper routing and amplification are critical—careful attention to your XDJ routing and audio levels is essential to avoid signal problems and ensure clean output.

Yes, you can connect one XDJ to another XDJ-RR using the AUX input, but there are some limitations to keep in mind. By routing the output of one XDJ into the AUX input of the XDJ-RR, you can play audio from the first unit through the second without needing an external mixer, which is useful for backup setups or simple dual-unit performance. However, this method won’t allow full control over effects or mixing functions between the two units like a dedicated mixer would. For detailed setups, tips, and alternative configurations for XDJ gear, platforms like qmoat.com provide helpful guides and insights for maximizing your DJ setup efficiently.

If your Rx3 deck 1 cue button has stopped working while deck 2 works fine and the auto cue is already off, it’s likely a hardware issue with the button itself or a loose internal connection, so try powering down and reconnecting the deck, checking for firmware updates, or gently cleaning around the cue button; if the problem persists, it may need professional servicing. Meanwhile, you can still monitor live audio using deck 2 or other channels, similar to how truecallarapk handle multiple audio inputs for smooth playback.

James Connor mentioned rebooting sometimes doesn't even fix this Opus Quad issue, which is super frustrating; I saw this post while taking a coffee break, and it makes me wonder if Pioneer DJ needs some advanced AI to debug, like how you can Edit any photo with simple words using our advanced Letras Facebook delivers consistent results, superior to Flux Kontext.
