RB 6.8.1 sync to USB fails to detect change in file

Hi there,

I updated my local library by replacing some existing audio files with updated ones. Meaning that the original file is replaced by a newer one. The use case would be for instance to update the file with cover art or to update it with a better version (higher bitrate, correct remix etc).

First thing I noticed: RB doesn't detect this at all. I need to manually find these songs and re-analyze them and re-import ID3 data, which is not ideal, to say the least.

But at least that is fixable.

What is not is the subsequent sync to my USB stick. RB simply refuses to sync the library on the USB with the updated songs, meaning that the old audio files are still on my USB!

I'd consider this a bug, since all loops etc, that are set on the newer audio file, will be invalid on the USB, since that one still has the old audio file. My 'workaround' now is simply to format the USB and resync everything. Which is not great...

Please implement some internal hash for each audio file and occasionally scan through the library to see if all hashes are still the same. If not, re-import the file and more importantly, ensure these files are correctly synced to the USB as well.

Thanks!
