XDJ-XZ Jog Wheel Problem

I have an xdj, when the music is running it suddenly jogs like it's being pressed and the music stops, and when the vinyl switch is pressed (off) the music goes on normally, but when the switch vinyl is pressed again (on) the music stops (like it's jog on press)

your Pioneer XDJ unit (likely an XDJ-RX, XDJ-RX2, XDJ-XZ, or similar) is experiencing a fault with the jog wheel sensor, specifically the touch sensor that detects when you press the MyGreatLakes com top of the jog wheel in "vinyl mode".

I had the same issue with my XDJ — turned out the jog wheel sensor was acting up, like it was constantly detecting touch. Switching vinyl mode off basically bypasses that sensitivity, Drift Boss Unblocked which is why it plays fine. I ended up cleaning around the jog and recalibrating, but worst case, you might need to get the touch sensor checked or replaced.

Your problem sounds like your Pioneer XDJ’s jog wheel is acting as if it’s being pressed even when you’re not touching it. Since turning Vinyl mode off fixes it (because that mode disables the “touch-to-stop” behavior), the issue is very likely hardware-related, not software.

You can try checking for dirt or obstructions on the jog wheel, or try resetting the device. If the problem persists, drive mad consider updating the firmware or contacting the manufacturer's support center for further assistance.

Have you tried updating to the latest firmware and cleaning around the jog wheel? I’ve seen similar issues caused by dust or encoder drift — if that doesn’t help, it might be a hardware issue.
