Not recognising imported files

So the issue since 6.8.2 is that the source files are no longer correctly associated with the files in the collection. By this I mean that when I go to the directory with my music in the explore tab it shows only the id3 info for the files, not the information from the Rekordbox library, this also means that if I import files it will import them as duplicates and doesn't show the import date. Where this becomes a real problem is importing new music, what I used to be able to do was drop the new files into the directory, sort my import date and the files at the top with no import date and no preview were the new ones, I'd then just select them and import them, easy. Now there is no simple way to import new music, this is a huge issue, please sort it out PioneerDJ/AT
